Hoofbeats Music welcome Bl4ck Owlz as the first foreign addition to our label, and it is a heavy hitting one. Bl4ck Owlz represent French dnb scene, which is growing steadily both in numbers and in quality just as the Czech one is, and after releases on Mainframe, Bad Taste and even the mighty Eatbrain, Bl4ck Owlz bring a punch with a pair of new straight up, dancefloor-oriented bangers.Pressure combines a rolling beat with drastic fury of rhythmic vengeance, leading to a suspenseful breakdown. As if all the steam escaped a pressurised cabin at once, except it’s no steam; the crack ventilates poisonous gases, draining of life all that dares to stay in its path. With that returns the second drop, mirroring the first one. Starting in broken down, halftime movements, culminating in a final mini drop, Pressure is a track to keep around for those loud dj sets where nothing is ever enough.WithWatch Dis, there is no time to wait, no epic intros, no pathos, just straight up brutal modern day neurofunk. Revealing the bare bones of jungle music during the mid section, Watch Dis returns once more to strength with confusing and distorted high pitched screeches flying through the stereo range. Majestic display of raw power, this is Bl4ck Owlz showing their superior production skills – all or nothing, go loud or go home.
